天汽模从2011年介入铝板模具制造和工艺技术设计业务，主要客户有捷豹/路虎、宝马、瑞典国家电动车、特斯拉等全球知名的采用铝制车身部件较多的主机厂。2012年末，天汽模全资收购德国模具制造公司(GIW)，成立天汽模欧洲模具公司（TQMEU)，在TQMEU支持下承接了更多铝板零件的设计制造订单。湖南天汽模介入欧洲客户的前期铝板产品的同步工程开发。
TQM has been engaged in designing the aluminum mold manufacturing and process technology since 2011， the main customers are world-renowned host plants which adopt aluminum car body frequently, such as Jaguar / Land Rover, BMW, Sweden national electric vehicles, Tesla and so on. At the end of 2012,  TQM wholly acquired GIW, and  set up TQMEU. With the support of TQMEU, the company has got much more  design and manufacture orders of aluminum plate parts. And Hunan TQM participate in synchronous engineering  incipient  development of aluminum plate product for European customers.
